Introduction

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of configuring mini apps so that they are accessible exclusively to your own clients or within your custom domain.

Typically, when you publish a mini app, it becomes available to all users across the platform.

However, with the right settings, you can restrict access, making your mini app private and client-specific. This feature is particularly useful for businesses that want to offer tailored mini apps to their clients without exposing them to the entire platform.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Accessing the Settings

  • Navigate to the Y Table Settings
Begin by opening your platform's Y Table Settings. This is the central hub for managing your mini apps and platform configurations.

  • Go to Partner Settings
Within the settings menu, locate and select Partner Settings. This section contains options related to mini app management and domain restrictions.

  • Select Mini Apps
Click on the Mini Apps tab to view all mini apps available on your platform.

2. Viewing and Managing Your Mini Apps

  • Scroll to Your Created Mini Apps
Scroll down the list until you find the mini app you created, which is typically labeled with your app's name, e.g., "demo".

  • Identify Your Mini App
Your mini app will be listed among others, often at the bottom of the list. Confirm it is the correct one before proceeding.

3. Configuring Access Settings

  • Active Status
You will see an Active toggle. Turning this on makes the mini app available on the platform.

  • "Only Available for My Clients" Option
There is a secondary toggle labeled "Only Available for My Clients".

    • Enable this if you want the mini app to be restricted to your clients only.

    • Disable this to make the mini app accessible to all platform users.

  • Setting the Mini App for Client-Only Access
    To restrict access:

    • Ensure both Active and Only Available for My Clients are enabled.

    • Once set, the mini app will only be visible and accessible to your clients.

  • Reverting to Public Access
If you want the mini app to be available to everyone:

    • Turn Active on

    • Turn Only Available for My Clients off

    • The mini app will then be accessible platform-wide.
